If you'd like to experiment with a whole range of hands-on processes, give our mixed media art group a try. 
Over 10 weeks, you'll work on creative projects using drawing and painting, collage, mosaic and clay to name a few. This a NEW class for 2020 so don't miss out!

If stitch is your thing, then get your threads ready and join our established textile group.
Perfect if you're new to working with textiles or more practised and looking for a challenge, over 10 weeks you can experiment with stitch, collage, applique, 3D construction and more!

Beginners Running

Taking up running can seem like a scary prospect, especially if you feel out of shape or unfit. Aimed at beginners our learn to run course is the perfect way to start.

Whether you've never run before or if you just want to get more active, running is an easy way of getting fitter and healthier. You will follow a similar programme to couch to 5k programme with the help of a qualified instructor who will guide you each week. You will mix walking with running each week creating realistic expectations and making the challenge feel achievable right from the start. This builds up week on week to get you up to jogging 5k after eight weeks.



Holiday Skate Camps

Skate camps for children aged 5-12 are running during the Easter, May & Summer Holidays at Croxley & Manor House Grounds Skate Park, providing young people the opportunity to come and learn how to skateboard.

Skateboard and safety equipment provided. Sessions will be cancelled if it’s raining or if the skate park is very wet.

Moving Mums - Boxing Fit

Join us to get fighting fit! This boxing based class will get your heart rate up and help you de-stress at the same time. We use real mitts and boxing pads to do different drills to tone up. A super high energy and fun class.

Moving Mums - Stroller Strength Fitness

Get some fresh air while you get fit! The best part is baby gets the best seat in the house warm and cosy in the pram. This is a one hour class that intermixes walking, resistance exercises and mummy tummy toning all in one great class. Meet other mums, have fun and get fit.

Smartphone & Digital Photography Walks

Join us and get creative on one of our popular photography walks!

You will be accompanied by Pete, our professional photographer and friendly guides, taking in the scenery at a relaxed pace. Using your Smartphone, tablet or digital camera, you can pick up tips on how to capture some amazing photos, which will feature in our online gallery afterwards and be entered into our ‘best snap’ competition. No experience is necessary and everyone is welcome!


Leavesden Country Park - this walk uses pathways, so it is suitable for wheelchair users.

Chorleywood House Grounds - please note due to the terrain, this walk is not suitable for wheelchair users.

The walks are suitable for people of all ages,  however, children under the age of 11 must be booked on with a paying adult.

Swimming After Stroke

Swimming after a Stroke is an opportunity to participate in specific water therapy exercises and practice your swimming with fellow stroke survivors. The classes are instructed by a fully qualified swimming and aquatic therapy instructor in a relaxed atmosphere.

The therapeutic properties of the water help to support the body by using the buoyancy and resistance of the water to move your body and build your muscular strength. The aim is to improve quality of your body’s movement and improve your strength and balance.


Winter Wildfowl Walk

This guided walk is a great opportunity to see Winter Wildfowl in their habitat to find out more about them.

Bring your binoculars, as we’ll be on the look out for the more common visitors to our local winter havens and maybe spot some occasional visitors.

All ages welcome, but children must be accompanied by an adult at all times.

Bookings should include all adults and children attending.
